Holy good christ on a shingle... this looks very bad. While the NRDC and other big environmental protection groups were battling for the Arctic National Wilderness to stay protected, this apparently benign little piece of legislation was passed and it looks like yet another give away to corporate special interests. SHIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIT! Keep you eyes on this one folks... it's bound to creep up in nearly every state, and perhaps the only way to battle it is to counteract the legislation.
